Important information for schools
- My Future Aspirations challenges young people in S1 and S2 from across the north east to think about their career dreams, what they are going to do when they leave school, who they would like to become and how they can contribute to society.
- Pupils illustrate their future career aspirations through art, choosing any media from paper to video.
- If paper is the preferred media we recommend A3 size.
- Each artwork must be accompanied with a narrative explaining their career choice, to around 50 words.
- 8 entries per school, to be delivered to our office at 38 Albyn Place, Aberdeen AB10 1YN.
- Accompanying the artworks and narratives we require completed guardian consent forms and a summary submission sheet. We’ll send these out to you after the summer holidays.
- We’ll photograph the submissions for albums on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
- In person judging will decide the winner but we like to know if the public and judges agree so we’ll also have the People’s Choice vote on social media.
- Every participant receives a certificate of accomplishment, commendation or excellence. And The Bon Accord Centre is supporting us once again with a HUGE vinyl showcase.
