Assistant Transport Manager - VR/29995
An Assistant Transport Manager is required on a full-time permanent basis for a company providing high quality materials.
The Assistant Transport Manager role will work alongside staff in a busy transport office at Memsie, near Fraserburgh.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with enquiries.
- Liaising with customers.
- Managing staff and all manner of day-to-day operations within a haulage fleet to ensure punctual delivery.
- Meeting customer expectations.
- Stock control.
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs.
- Compliance with operator's licence.
Applicants to this role require:
- You must be able to work effectively under pressure coordinating a transport fleet whilst fulfilling customer requirements and expectations.
- Ideally, applicants will have experience in haulage / logistics.
- Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role and a good geographical knowledge of Aberdeenshire is essential.
- A CPC in National Road Haulage and knowledge of building materials would be an advantage.
