HR Manager (part-time) - VR/29932

Experienced HR Generalist required for a standalone, PART-TIME, permanent role in North Aberdeenshire. You will become an established SME’s first in-house HR professional (with initial support/handover from an existing HR Consultant) and provide full Generalist support to the business. Days/hours can be negotiated for this fully office-based position.

    

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Acting as the company’s primary point of contact for employee-related queries.
  • Offering proactive HR guidance and coaching to Managers.
  • Reviewing, developing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation.
  • Updating and managing employment contracts and the Employee Handbook.
  • Overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, participating in interviews as required.
  • Implementing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Providing guidance on employee health and wellbeing matters, including return-to-work plans and managing long-term health issues.
  • Advising managers on employee relations, handling disciplinary and grievance matters in line with employment legislation.
  • Supporting the performance management process and coordinate relevant training.
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant employee records.
  • Producing and delivering periodic HR data and reports for the company’s Leadership Team.
  • Leading HR projects.

           

Applicants to this role require

  • CIPD membership.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of current UK employment legislation.
  • Experience in an all-encompassing Generalist position (ideally within an SME environment).
  • First-rate communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Keenness to work on a standalone basis.
  • Ability to manage and influence positive change.

           

Additional information

  • Working days/hours are genuinely flexible at this stage, and can be designed around the successful applicant’s availability and experience levels (noting a likely minimum of 0.5 FTE).
  • Fully office-based with parking available.
