The IT Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and development of the IT infrastructure and systems of the organisation. The IT Engineer works closely with the IT Manager, IT Helpdesk Team Leader, and other IT staff to ensure the availability, security, and performance of the IT services and applications.

• Working within IT strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
• Assisting in the development of IT policies and procedures.
• Server, infrastructure and communications support to all offices and offshore sites.
• Desktop support to all offices and offshore sites.
• Support of telephony, AV and conferencing systems.
• Support of mobile devices (smart phones and tablets).
• Visiting offshore units and worldwide shore offices as necessary.
• Monitoring systems using industry standard tools.
• Evaluating users’ needs and investigate alternative solutions.
• Liaising with third party service providers.
• Aiding IT Project Team as required.
• Running user workshops and training as required.
• Work order tracking and documentation.
• Participating in on-call and shift rotas.
• Implementing IT changes in line with the IT change management procedure.
• Maintaining high level of awareness in IT, information, and cyber security and provide information and advice to others as necessary.
• Working with elevated account privileges and permissions in line with documented procedures.
• Attending relevant training courses as identified and follow up with exams/qualifications if available.

Any other duties as required by the IT Manager.

Desirable Skills and Education:

• Extensive experience working in an IT role.
• Relevant university degree.
• Professional qualification in IT.
• Service desk experience.
• IP and networking.
• MS365 management and support.
• MS Azure management and support.
• Windows Server and Exchange Server.
• VMWare and storage systems.
