Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Creating detailed, persuasive proposals that clearly communicate the organisation's capabilities and align with specific client requirements.
  • Client Requirements Analysis: Conducting thorough analysis of client needs and specifications to ensure proposals precisely meet their requirements.
  • Client Engagement: Regularly interacting with clients to understand their needs and ensure proposals are customised accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Key Account Managers, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to integrate technical, commercial, and strategic insights into proposals.
  • Quality Assurance: Overseeing the management and prioritisation of all business unit proposals, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Cost Modelling: Developing accurate and competitive cost models, aligning pricing with project scope and requirements.
  • CRM Management: Maintaining and track proposal activities within the CRM system, ensuring an organised and efficient proposal process.
  • Strategic Content Development: Producing compelling, strategically crafted proposal content that highlights the organisation's strengths and differentiates it from competitors.
  • Project Planning Contribution: Actively contributing to project planning with feasible execution methods, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring practicality and effectiveness of proposals.
  • Market Research: Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, ensuring proposals are competitive and relevant.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Maintaining effective coordination with internal stakeholders, including Key Account Managers, to gather essential inputs for well-rounded proposal development.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensuring proposals adhere to client and industry standards, maintaining the highest quality.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assess, and mitigate risks during the proposal development process, ensuring robust and reliable proposals.
  • Client Feedback Integration: Incorporating client feedback into future proposals, continuously improving the quality and relevance of submissions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements in the proposal process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

     

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Significant experience in crafting detailed and persuasive proposals.
  • Proven background in project management, particularly in planning and execution phases.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and motivating a tendering function within a similar organisation.
  • Strong client relations experience, with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Financial acumen with proficiency in building cost models and understanding pricing strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with CRM systems for tracking proposals.
  • Attention to detail with precision in reviewing and preparing proposal documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field; understanding of the energy sector (oil & gas and renewables) is highly desirable.
