Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Analysis Engineer on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas service company based in Cove, Aberdeen.

    

Working within the standard connector products business unit, the Senior Analysis Engineer will provide guidance and direction to engineering colleagues, as well as provide engineering services to other company divisions and third parties. 

       

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Senior Analysis Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Analysing connectors and associated equipment by FEA or hand calculations where appropriate.
  • Fatigue life assessments.
  • Completing results and reports following design calculations / analysis in a timely manner.
  • Actively progressing and managing assigned tasks from concept to completion.
  • Where appropriate, report progress to clients along with documentation of work.
  • Assisting with preparation of quotations for clients.
  • Monitoring time and costs throughout the duration of each assigned task.
  • Checking and approval of drawings, documents, reports, and calculations to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Designing and developing connector product line.
  • Actively take part in design reviews.
  • Providing technical product support to sales.
  • Providing guidance, direction, and supervision to engineering staff.

          

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar Senior Analysis Engineer type role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas or offshore wind sectors, is essential.
  • Mechanical component design experience is essential.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience is essential.
  • Previous experience of working with connector products would be preferred.
  • Applicants should have experience of working with pressure vessels and pressure vessel codes.
  • Applicants should have experience with structural calculations, as well as fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics.
