Senior ROV Asset Engineer - VR/30275

Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior ROV Asset Engineer on a permanent staff basis for a leading global geo-data specialist based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

      

Working with the Technical and Project teams, you will support ROV fleet readiness during planning, mobilisations and offshore operations. 

           

Reporting to the Subsea Robotics Technical Manager, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Reviewing ROV system readiness and current status in conjunction with project managers and Technical Manager.
  • Supporting planned and ongoing live operations in conjunction with Project Teams.
  • Liaising closely with the Engineering Department regarding engineering support required.
  • Ensuring that Commercial teams are given advice regarding asset capabilities in support of tender and proposal development.
  • Reviewing maintenance records for assets and track equipment failures, noting any trends to identify problem areas for further investigation and improvement.
  • Monitoring and controlling the asset R&M budgets, along with CAPEX applications for investment.
  • Providing technical support to offshore and onshore teams, as well as liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Liaising with Innovation teams in terms of system improvements and new solutions.

             

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A HNC / HND qualification would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar ROV Asset / Support Engineer type role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
  • Previous experience in the offshore ROV industry is essential.
  • Extensive experience with ROV operations is essential.
  • Applicants should have experience with both work class and observation class ROV system operations.
  • Applicants should have strong hydraulics, mechanical and electronics (including high voltage) experience.
