We are looking for a Vessel Data Initiative Lead to join our clients team in Westhill on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience in Data Frameworks, working closely with Project Teams, and familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.

     

Overview Job Description:

The company’s vessels produce vast quantities of data which is currently not fully exploited for the benefit of our project delivery. How we gather, manage, utilise and analyse that data is a critical part of the company’s Digital Project Delivery strategy. This role is to develop processes and tools to manage and utilise that data to create value.

      

The role will challenge you to work in an Agile project management way of working whilst providing you with excellent opportunities to develop new skills and gain exposure to the wider company.

      

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with Project Teams to develop digital project delivery flow paths relevant to vessel data.
  • Managing the vessel data model, set up a confidentiality assessment and other meta data against each data string with support from the data owners.
  • Acting as a champion for change and promoting a data-centric culture.
  • Engaging with different regions and functions, both in the company and subsidiaries.
  • Developing business cases for the development of tools to explore our data and realise the value.
  • Leading the relationship between the company Digitalisation Team and subsidiaries.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Seeking candidates with Level 2 to Principal Engineering experience.

      

Additionally, we are also looking for:

     

  • Self-starter/completer finisher may have experience of working on their own or with own initiative.
  • Familiar with data frameworks, models and requirements to link data sets between different data sources.
  • Changing old habits is tough, you will be enthusiastic about developing new ways of working and promote the benefits of standardisation and repeatability.
  • Being open to acquiring new skills, including software development frameworks, project management, and workshop planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management is vital for success.
  • Candidates will be flexible and able to travel to Oslo and other company offices.
