TMM Recruitment is working with one of the most prestigious energy sector operators in the Northeast to source a Wells Technician for a 12-month contract role starting this November. With proven experience and understanding of wells data and applications this role will be focused on providing technical support to wells personnel and projects, including data analytics and continuous improvement projects.

          

Overview

  • Lead management of wells data and applications, interfacing with IS and vendors.
  • Lead submission of wells regulatory applications, engaging with NSTA, HSE and Well Examiner.
  • Complete well engineering tasks on a routine basis.
  • Provide technical support to wells personnel and projects, including data analytics and continuous improvement projects

              

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and company HSES procedures.
  • Completing wells risk assessments and support regulatory well compliance.
  • Leading management of wells data and applications, WEllView, Landmark EDM, Well Barrier, MyTrac;
    • Leading installation for new rigs;
    • Initialising, maintaining and closing out records;
    • Maintaining data accuracy, completeness, consistency;
    • Supporting data analytics, benchmarking, reporting;
    • Leading training, coaching and mentoring users on/offshore;
    • Leading app and data consolidation, drive continuous improvement initiative;
    • Focal point externally with vendors;
    • Focal point internally with key stakeholders including IS, HR, Subsurface, ISC;
    • Leading resolution of regulatory queries (e.g. from NSTA, HSE);
    • Leading updates, maintaining application and users;
    • Leading installation for new rigs;
    • Initialising, maintaining and closing out records;
    • Maintaining data accuracy, completeness, consistency;
    • Supporting data analytics, benchmarking, reporting;
    • Leading training, coaching and mentoring users on/offshore;
    • Leading app and data consolidation, drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining internal registers;
    • Regulatory submissions;
    • Well examination records;
    • Well Integrity Status Trackers (definitive wells listing);
    • Risk assessment register;
    • P&A notice tracker;
    • MyTrac status tracker;
    • Training and competence tracker;
    • Maintaining wells lessons learned database;
    • Maintaining wells electronic well records, focal point for integration.
  • Leading wells regulatory submissions;
    • MAR;
    • Collating and submitting routine intervention;
    • Notifications, material changes, weekly reports;
    • Resolving OMAR clarifications raised via CAP portal.
  • NSTA;
    • Preparing well suspension and abandonment applications, variations and notifications;
    • Uploading NSTA submissions via WONS portal;
    • Resolving NSTA clarifications raised via WONS portal;
    • Leading compilation of annual Stewardship Survey – Wells submission;
    • Coordinating final well records for NSTA reporting (NDR uploads);
    • Supporting P&A notice submissions.
  • Examination;
    • Leading review of routine intervention notifications – requires considerable engagement with Independent (external) Well Examiner;
    • Leading annual suspended well examination review – requires considerable engagement with Independent (external) Well Examiner.
  • Completing well engineering tasks on a routine basis.
  • Completing risk assessments (e.g. for open water suspended wells).
  • Preparing regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinating with Well Examiner.
  • Preparing cost estimates.
  • Performing data analytics.
  • Implementing performance improvements.
  • Providing general technical support to wells personnel and projects.
  • Supporting external benchmarking (Rushmore).
  • Supporting HSE initiatives.
  • Preparing weekly management report.
  • Updating weekly high risk and planned activities in ER activity sheet.
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties.

     

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Well operations knowledge: lifecycle and key processes.
  • Proficiency in engineering principles.
  • Experience in tasks typical for Well Engineers.
  • Familiarity with company SEMS, BMS, wells standards.
  • Demonstrates company values and behaviours.
