Accounts Assistant - VR/30750
Opportunity to join a global energy service company as an Accounts Assistant on a 6 month fixed-term basis. In this varied role, you will be supporting with day-to-day finance tasks, assisting with sales and purchase ledger, and credit control. This role offers the chance to grow your experience working within a dynamic finance team.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Assisting in ensuring accurate upkeep of the sales ledger accounts.
- Supporting credit control operations by chasing overdue debts.
- Assisting with customer queries and resolving issues.
- Helping to check, code and post invoices to the purchase ledger.
- Coordinating with other departments to resolve any purchase ledger related issues.
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
- Preparing payment runs for approval as needed.
- Providing ad-hoc support and cover where required within the Finance Department.
Applicants to this role require
- Experience working within an office environment, dealing with different aspects of accounting.
- Effective prioritisation and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of Microsoft D365, or similar ERP system desirable.
- HNC or similar qualification in an accounting-related field advantageous.
