Full-time, permanent opportunity to support as an Assistant Management Accountant based in Aberdeen. This opportunity requires someone to have direct relevant experience in preparing monthly Management Accounts for final approval. This role also involves supporting the preparation of P&L forecasts and tax compliance packs. If you have direct relevant experience, please apply below!

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the prompt and accurate preparation and submission of Flash reports.
  • Aiding in the timely and precise preparation and submission of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
  • Contributing to the preparation and submission of weekly accounts receivable trackers, capex tracker, and cashflow forecasts, with associated analysis and interpretation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supporting the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) forecasts.
  • Helping in preparing tax compliance documentation.
  • Aiding in improving processes and controls and contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems.
  • Liaising with Operational Teams to ensure deadlines are met and accounting data is accurate.
  • The role may involve performing additional related tasks or duties, as required by evolving business needs, under proper training and supervision.

     

Qualifications and Certification:

  • A relevant degree is required.
  • A willingness to pursue a professional accounting qualification is desirable and encouraged, with study support provided.

Essential Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and some experience with accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A professional, proactive attitude focused on delivering excellent service.
