Main duties and responsibilities

• Carrying out shot blasting to agreed standard.
• Performing all aspects of a coatings projects safely and efficiently.
• Understanding different coating systems and required microns.
• Operating, cleaning and maintaining all painting equipment, including paint robot, brushes, rollers, sprayers, mixing equipment, pumps and PPE.
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining all blasting equipment including blast robot, blast pots, elevator and PPE.
• Carrying out blasting and painting inspection and ensure this is documented to agreed procedure.
• Maintaining a safe work site.

Applicants to this role require

• Strong work ethic.
• Knowledge on areas requiring masking/protection.
• High attention to detail.
• Understanding of the application of high-performance coatings.
• Requires experience with all aspects of painting, surface preparation, finishing and maintenance of a wide variety of industrial structures.
• Basic understanding of coatings scope documents.
• Forklift License B2 (preferred but not essential).
• Proven track record in blasting & painting.
