As Business Development Manager, you will be a crucial member of the Senior Management Team, providing effective communication and support. You will be responsible for promoting a commercial training portfolio and services locally, nationally, and internationally. Your goal is to identify new training initiatives and commercial opportunities, developing and sustaining close customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify New Opportunities: Discovering new business opportunities including new markets, partnerships, and training products.
- Strategic Development: Formulating strategies to reach new business prospects and provide market intelligence to the Senior Management Team.
- Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring their needs are met with tailored proposals.
- Market Expansion: Researching and developing strategies to expand the current market.
- Event Participation: Representing the company at networking events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Collaboration: Working closely with staff to understand and promote the training portfolio and develop customised solutions.
- Customer Reporting: Regularly reporting customer feedback and business development progress to the Senior Management Team.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of business environments, commercial awareness, entrepreneurship, planning, communication, presentation, and networking skills.
- Experience: Proven track record of commercial success in sales or similar roles, with energy industry experience being a plus.
- IT Proficiency: Strong IT skills are essential for managing the CRM system and other business tools.
