• Although prior programming experience would be preferred, experienced CNC Operators would be considered.
• Ideally the candidate will have experience in Fanuc, Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls but experience in one of these controls would potentially be considered.

Role:

• The role will involve being responsible for the production and editing of CNC Machines such as; Fanuc, Heindenhain, Mazatrol milling machines, lathes and machining centres.
• The role will involve the writing and editing of bespoke programmes from start to finish, working closely with the production staff to ensure programmes are optimized to best manufacturing practises and current tooling.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• The ideal Programmer will be proficient reading and understanding ISO, EIA or Mazatrol code(s).
• Proficient working knowledge of one or more of the following CADCAM systems: Solidworks, Esprit, NX-CAM, CAM-Link or Bravo-NCG. Other CADCAM systems will be considered.
• Provide support to the manufacturing group in relation to amendments and updates on programs.
• Assist with identifying, planning and coordinating specialised tooling or gauges necessary for component manufacture.
• Responsible for investigating and resolving shop floor problems relating to programming, in conjunction with management and support staff.
• Assist the methods and planning departments as required

Essential Qualifications/Requirements:

• HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven background in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven background of manufacturing goods using CNC Machine centres.
• Ability to use SAP in relation to manufacturing methodology creation and development and programming.
• Able to programme machines for the manufacture of tools, using a variety of metals and processes.
• Ability to understand complex manufacturing drawings and process instructions.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic engineering and math.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
