Commercial Administrator - VR/30511
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Administrator to join our client in Altens on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will manage contract administration, invoicing, and client reporting. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial processes, strong organisational skills and a background in commercial or accountancy disciplines will be advantageous.
Responsible for the Commercial Administration process of allocated contracts to all group subsidiaries and divisions. Efficient and accurate processing of contract reviews, costings and other contract information to maximise group revenues and enhance image of company with staff, companies and suppliers on allocated projects. Controlling and collecting outstanding debts for all allocated contracts and additional tasks to support the Commercial Supervisor and Commercial Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial administration process for allocated contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial authorization criteria.
- Preparing and issuing timely and accurate client invoices, including reconciliation of data from multiple systems.
- Monitoring financial authorities, payments, and debt status, escalating overdue accounts as necessary.
- Checking payroll claims and expenses, ensuring compliance with contract-specific rates and policies.
- Producing reports, sales accrual, and contract reviews to support internal and client requirements.
- Collaborating with internal teams to maintain systems, processes, and documentation for effective contract management.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficient in using standard office software, including Microsoft Office, with the capability to quickly adapt to bespoke systems.
- Holds a formal qualification in a relevant discipline, supplemented by practical experience in a similar role.
- Knowledgeable about general financial processes and office administration systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and appropriately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency, maintaining focus and independence in a high-pressure setting.
- Collaborative team player, fostering positive working relationships.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- A degree in a relevant discipline, with practical experience being advantageous.
- Knowledge or experience in financial or accountancy processes.
- Vocational qualifications in a related field, supported by applicable experience.
