Group Reporting Analyst - VR/30180

Opening for a Group Reporting Analyst to join a reputable E&P organisation on either a contract or staff basis.

     

Overview Job Description:

  • Responsible for all consolidated financial management reporting and external financial reporting for the UK business.
  • Supporting preparation of group reporting requirements, reforecasts and month end close.

      

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and reviewing annual legal entity financial statements, including consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS.
  • Collaborating with the UK Tax Team, supplying accurate information as required for tax provisioning, tax returns and for tax planning purposes.
  • Preparing monthly income statement and balance sheet over the month end close period, with aim to ensure required elements are booked as required and understood.
  • Collating variance analysis on key metrics of production, opex, capex, abex, revenue, free cash flow and working capital on a monthly basis for management reporting.
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial reporting package for group financial reporting and supporting analysis through the tools and schedules provided by the shareholder.
  • Liaising with External Auditors throughout the group and statutory audits.
  • Supporting in preparation of monthly ARO accretion adjustments and annual ARO liability updates.
  • Preparing the monthly revenue accounting in coordination with the Marketing and Production Teams, including sales, revenue accruals and overlift and underlift.
  • Preparing and maintaining fixed assets register including, additions, depreciation, impairment postings.
  • Supporting monthly closing of intercompany balances.
  • Preparing accounts aging.
  • Assisting with month-end/year-end adjustments.
  • Supporting in preparing financial information for Board meetings.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting roles, with an understanding of statutory reporting requirements and consolidation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
