Working within the Senior Management Team and reporting directly to the CEO, it is the purpose of this role to deliver the charity’s strategic objectives through developing and carrying out a structured income generation and business development strategy to optimise fundraising capabilities.

Duties Include:

• Developing annual budget.
• Creating operational plans to achieve and exceed income targets.
• Building and developing relationships with target companies and high net worth individuals.
• Leading and developing a team to enhance the charities, fundraising, events, trusts, legacies and major donor work.
• Creating development strategies for each income stream.
• Executing new commercial opportunities to create stable and sustainable income streams.
• Utilising and working closely with the board to support income generation and business development efforts.

Applicants Require:

• Practical experience in a leadership role.
• A track record of delivering increased revenue.
• Working practice within business development and charitable fundraising.
• Experience developing commercial strategies.
• A strong network within the North-East business community.
• Ambition, leadership skills, commitment, and energy.
• Resilience, integrity, honesty and commitment.
• The ability to nurture relationships.

The Small Print:

• 35 hours per week.
• Reports directly to the CEO.
• Line management responsibilities.
• Charity experience isn’t essential but would be advantageous.
• Based full-time within the Clan House office.
