HR Business Partner, part-time - VR/30653

Experienced HR Generalist required for a rare part-time opportunity at HR Business Partner level. This permanent vacancy is Aberdeen based and with a smaller regional business where you can make a meaningful impact within 25-30 hours per week. Energy sector experience, CIPD membership and extensive operational HR experience are all advantageous.

     

Overview

The new HRBP will provide hands-on, front-facing HR support for a dedicated client group, and partner with the company’s HR Manager on a series of HR projects and business-improvement initiatives.

      

Hours are negotiable (ideally 25-30 hours per week) and can be fulfilled across 5 shorter days, or 3-4 full days.

      

Hybrid working is available following an initial settling-in (relationship-building) period, after which up to 40% of your working week can be completed from home.

      

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Leading the recruitment process and ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Being the go-to person for employee concerns, fostering a positive workplace, and mediating disputes.
  • Policy Compliance: Developing and implementing policies that align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Performance Management: Guiding Managers through evaluations, goal-setting, and employee development.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Administering benefits programs and collaborating with payroll to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
  • HR Administration: Maintaining accurate records, generating HR metrics, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Health, Safety, & Well-being: Supporting safety programs and promoting initiatives that prioritise employee wellness.

      

Applicants to this role require

  • Associate CIPD membership/qualification, or equivalent.
  • Well-rounded experience at Advisor/HRBP level, ideally for an SME.
  • Energy sector experience.
  • Open, honest and positive communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • HRIS/IT proficiency.
