HR Manager (part-time) - VR/29932
Experienced HR Generalist required for a standalone, PART-TIME, permanent role in North Aberdeenshire. You will become an established SME’s first in-house HR professional (with initial support/handover from an existing HR Consultant) and provide full Generalist support to the business. Days/hours can be negotiated for this fully office-based position.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Acting as the company’s primary point of contact for employee-related queries.
- Offering proactive HR guidance and coaching to Managers.
- Reviewing, developing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation.
- Updating and managing employment contracts and the Employee Handbook.
- Overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, participating in interviews as required.
- Implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Providing guidance on employee health and wellbeing matters, including return-to-work plans and managing long-term health issues.
- Advising managers on employee relations, handling disciplinary and grievance matters in line with employment legislation.
- Supporting the performance management process and coordinate relevant training.
- Maintaining accurate and compliant employee records.
- Producing and delivering periodic HR data and reports for the company’s Leadership Team.
- Leading HR projects.
Applicants to this role require
- CIPD membership.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of current UK employment legislation.
- Experience in an all-encompassing Generalist position (ideally within an SME environment).
- First-rate communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Keenness to work on a standalone basis.
- Ability to manage and influence positive change.
Additional information
- Working days/hours are genuinely flexible at this stage, and can be designed around the successful applicant’s availability and experience levels (noting a likely minimum of 0.5 FTE).
