We’re working with a forward-thinking, global data solutions business in the energy sector to recruit a Management Accountant for their Aberdeen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant to play a key role in a growing company with operations across the world.

   

Reporting directly to the Director and overseeing a direct report, duties will include:

  • Compiling, managing, and consolidating regular regional financial reports.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries for other Group companies.
  • Assisting external accounts in preparing local statutory accounts across Group locations.
  • Coordinating the annual consolidation of financial results for Group financial statements.
  • Preparing Group consolidated statutory accounts in line with IFRS.
  • Leading and liaising with Group auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Preparing and reconciling intercompany accounts for UK and Group entities.
  • Preparing UK statutory financial reporting and managing tax filings.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for UK entities.
  • Forecasting monthly UK cash flow.
  • Providing variance analysis for regional and other reporting.
  • Delivering detailed financial analysis as required.
  • Performing ad hoc duties for the UK or wider Group as assigned.
  • Supporting Legal by reviewing contracts relating to financial matters.

          

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be a fully qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Offer proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of IFRS and UK statutory reporting.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and confidence in working independently and collaboratively.
