Onshore Logistics Coordinator - VR/30429

An Onshore Logistics Coordinator is required on a 12-month contract for a reputable oil and gas company based in Kingswells. You will work 7 days on, 7 days off, 0700 - 1900.

     

Within this role, you will be the logistics focal point for mobilisation of material and operations for the company.

        

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Logistics cargo management tool (KABAL) from point of cargo collection to delivery offshore and return. Monitoring backload/redelivery manifests, reconciling and checking/tidying/sorting backload inventory in KABAL.
  • Liaising with the Marine Coordinator to utilise vessel fleet with focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Focal point for KABAL between the company, supply base and vendors.
  • Managing the extra supply process when material is required outside cut off deadline.
  • Producing and issuing daily logistics plan (lookahead).
  • Managing NCR database in KABAL and assisting with follow up to close out.
  • Contributing to expediting and closing of KABAL enhancement requests. Liaising with end users and facilitating communicate with service provider.
  • Ensuring all materials are moved in line with company procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders both on and offshore to ascertain requirements and schedule vessels to suit, including cargo requirements, vessel routing and cargo prioritisation.
  • Coordinating cargo requirements for offshore installations/rigs.
  • Closely monitoring all third party rentals ensuring cost effective use and movement of equipment.
  • Continuously promoting a proactive HSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance.
  • Building effective relationships across the business continually seeking to improve operational efficiency and identify cost savings.
  • Proactively assisting both customer and colleagues, undertaking ad-hoc duties as required.

           

Applicants to this role require:

  • Previous experience of logistics support to the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of materials and logistics processes to include base/quayside, marine and aviation activities. Expediting knowledge and experience also advantageous.
  • Strong user of Excel and experience in SAP RLM/MM/PS modules.
  • Offshore experience and up to date certification desirable but not essential.
  • Analytical thinker and good problem solver.
  • Have a compliance focused mindset and continually strive for excellence.
  • Excellent team player.
