The ideal candidate should also have practical knowledge of company core services and technologies with related manufacturer equipment encompassing: marine & land satellite services, Radio (UHF, VHF, LTE and LOS), Rig telecoms (including Paga and CCTV) as well as Metocean systems. They will support the Aberdeen office Build and Test Technician on an ad hoc basis, where required, to support customer delivery schedules as:

• Compliance with Company and customer policies, standards and regulations.
• Onshore support of Company build andtest with ad hoc requirements to meet customer delivery or with required maintenance and preparation of equipment.
• Completion all requested and required: site visit, technical, commissioning and site card documentation within 7 days.

Main Duties:

• Offshore Communication solutions.
• Installation, commissioning, and fault diagnostics of Satellite based communication and TVRO systems and multip vendor access equipment such s TDMA, SCPC to encompass fixed and stabilized single and dual Antenna Systems at Ka, Ku, Cband and L Band. Installation of associated out of band access services.
• Installation of LTE, LOS point to multipoint radio networks, fault diagnostics of site-local area Network; hardware, infrastructure (Wireless, ethernet and fibre cable) both internal and external including ATEX rated equipment.
• Offshore Telecommunication solutions.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and fault investigations on Client Telecom systems and equipment; Radio systems (UHF VHF Hand held), PAGA, CCTV, Entertainment (TVRO, Distribution and head end systems).
• Carry out EX inspections in line with Client and UK procedures.
• Carry maintenance and survey for PAGA and CCTV systems.
• Carry out Fibre Umbilical cable installation and test to documented standards.
• Offshore Metocean solutions.
• Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault diagnostics of Hardware; sensors, servers, PCs and associated specific mounting and installation of remote sensor equipment.
• Installation of associated site cable and infrastructure in accordance with site documentation.
• Maintenance of specific methods of work instructions and continues development of best practices.

Requirements:

• The requirement of this position is offshore
• Experience in Electrical, Communications, Computer-related qualifications preferred
• Related telecommunications certifications (Networking, Satellite, PAGA, Fibre including umbilical) supporting the technical requirements of the position with proven work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent
• Proven Installation, troubleshooting & commissioning of any of the following areas: associated Electrical & Electronic Telecommunications equipment at customer site locations, primary communications systems relating to Satellite, LOS, LTE and TVRO customer site equipment, software support and systems associated Nimos, Elements or other manufactFinure system or commission of cable infrastructure for Fibre (splicing, otdr, umbilical cable management). Training will be provided for all disciplines.
• Capable of working under pressure and the ability to multi-task effectively both independently and within a team
• Competent in reading Electrical and Network diagrams, required documentation associated with the scope of work, associated installation and test equipment.
• Effective communication to line manager, Project manager (external & internal) and client stakeholders.
• Ability to listen and interpret instructions for problem solving in a pressured environment.
• Flexible and willing to meet customer requirements.
• Experience with standard MS Office applications.
• Must have EU, UK or EEA nationals willing to work in either, UK or Norway.

• CompEX certified and Offshore Certification.
