For this role, we are looking for someone whose attention to detail ensures the quality of work being manufactured by the company, and procured and delivered is of the highest quality. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the timely inspection, verification and functional testing of manufactured and procured products and services to ensure the production schedule is maintained, and customer delivery needs are met.

    

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing timely quality control activities including, periodic inspection/verification/functional testing of manufactured and procured equipment and recording results to meet customer expectations and delivery.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal process control documents, quality plans, route cards, engineering drawings, procedures, instructions and specifications.
  • Daily communications with the production supervisor and workshop management to ensure production priorities are known and met.
  • Ensuring all procured product and service requirements meet the required quality needs of the company.
  • Extensive use of inspection equipment.
  • Ensuring that all measuring, testing and inspection equipment is available, maintained, calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • Maintenance of calibration records and register in accordance with API, company and customer needs.
  • Reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings.
  • Identifying and initiating actions to prevent non-conformity relating to internal process and product.
  • Reporting to supervisors on any non-conformances detected during inspection.

                

Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications Required

  • Experience in product inspection, hardness testing and extensive knowledge of inspection equipment.
  • Experience in the use and calibration of IMTE.
  • Experience in the use and follow-up on PI, NC and CA.
  • Experience within manufacturing disciplines advantageous.
  • Knowledgeable in quality management systems and interpretation of product/technical/engineering drawings.
