In this newly created position, Oilenco are looking for a QHSE Manager to play a vital role within the Senior Management Team, helping to build on the company’s capabilities, ensuring that its innovative products maintain an exceptional quality standard.

Oilenco designs, engineers and manufactures creative and practical well intervention tooling for the global oil and gas industry.  For over 15 years, the company has developed a diverse range of tooling from high-quality bespoke solutions for demanding plug and abandonment campaigns to immediate downhole tooling available from their rental fleet.

Reporting to the Managing Director, in this role you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Leading, monitoring and maintaining the full company operational quality, health, safety and environmental management system.
• Implementing and maintaining Oilenco’s API Q1 quality management system, monitoring and reporting on its performance and identification of areas for improvement for continued compliance.
• Collaborating with the manufacturing, production and assembly teams to ensure quality standards are adhered to and maintained.
• Establishing a certified health and safety management system including development and implementation of policies, procedures and legislative requirements, as well as ongoing monitoring required to maintain stringent health and safety practices.
• Implementing environmental controls and practices in line with industry requirements.
• Ensuring application of Oilenco’s quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures throughout the organisation establishing a culture of employee ownership of all QHSE practices.
• Establishing a QHSE awareness training programme for all employees including understanding of the company QHSE policies and procedures and specific departmental QHSE requirements.
• Monitoring QHSE performance and report findings to the Senior Management Team.
• Driving continuous improvement and create efficiencies throughout the quality management system and HSE practices.
• Supporting the Business Development Team regarding QHSE factors for contractual requirements.
• Establishing an internal auditing programme, conducting audits on QHSE compliance, documenting findings and communicating required improvements with relevant parties.
• Co-ordinating external customer audits as required for QHSE compliance.
• Providing QHSE support to all functional managers and supervisors.

Technical/Professional Expertise and Qualifications required:

• Experience of implementing QHSE systems of which at least two to three years should be in quality administration and/or quality engineering.
• Experience within manufacturing and/or engineering disciplines advantageous.
• Formal training in auditing QHSE systems is essential.
• Quality, health and safety and environmental management system experience.
