Revenue Accountant, 12 Months - VR/30164

Revenue Accountant required to join a leading global exploration and production organisation. This is a contract position for 12 months initially.

   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring complete and accurate accounting and reporting for hydrocarbon revenue, stocks, and over/underlift across all operated and non-operated assets.
  • Preparing and issuing invoices on time, ensuring efficient cash recovery and confirming self-bill invoices in line with expectations.
  • Managing monthly accounting processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and industry best practices.
  • Assisting in the development and enhancement of business intelligence reporting systems, driving automation where possible.
  • Providing weekly cash forecasts and support PRT returns, budget preparation, and other financial processes.
  • Fostering strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Supporting the external audit process, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

     

Key Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Ideally experienced in revenue and production accounting within the upstream oil and gas sector, particularly in the UK North Sea.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels within the organisation.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.
