Overview

The company are looking for a SAP S4 Data Analyst to join their team either on a staff or contract basis as they are embarking on a SAP S4 Transformation programme which involves replacing the current ECC solution with SAP S4 Hana together with the associated business process changes across Finance, SCM and Asset Management. The transformation will be a multi-year programme following a Greenfield, Fit to Standard approach.

The strategic aim is to deliver a globally standard set of processes and associated data through the modern S4 application leading to improved efficiency and operation of the business and providing valuable business insights from increased visualisation, analytics and automation.

The company will engage a Service Integrator (SI) and Change Management organisation to work with our IT and Business teams to design, build, test and deploy this business transformation programme.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting and performing data analysis activities in existing SAP ECC6 and third party applications.
• Supporting data cleansing activities in existing source systems.
• Working with delivery partner and business reps in performing data quality, profiling and cleansing, data harmonisation tasks.
• Supporting data design workshops.
• Supporting data field mapping activities during the design phase.
• Supporting manual transformation of data from legacy systems to SAP S4.
• Supporting manual preparation of data load files.
• Working with the SI delivery partner and business reps to verify data and troubleshoot/correct errors.
• Supporting functional teams with data requirements through testing cycles.
• Logging, triaging and resolving data defects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertaking data verification and reconciliation processes in SAP S4.

 Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of the SAP ECC6 data model.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of data quality, profiling and cleansing, data harmonisation.
• Experience in performing data cleansing tasks for ERP deployments.
• Experience in data defect management processes
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Pro-active, self-driven, collaborative, good analytical and problem-solving skill
• Good communication skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders
• Should be able to work independently
• Prior experience of data field mapping, data verification and reconciliation
• Prior SAP data migration experience
• Working knowledge in the functional areas of Finance, SCM, Asset Management
