A leading energy company with a strong presence in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist for a 7-month contract position, ideally starting in late August. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse corporate services contract portfolio across upstream, renewables, and low carbon solutions, contributing to the vision of a low-carbon future.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Portfolio Optimisation: Developing and optimising the corporate services contract portfolio, encompassing sectors like Renewables, Low Carbon Solutions, and Upstream, to maximise value.
  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Leading and collaborating in cross-functional teams to establish procurement strategies at both local and global levels.
  • Bid Management and Negotiations: Coordinating the preparation and issuance of enquiries, oversee bid evaluations, manage negotiations, and provide award recommendations.
  • Demand and Market Insights: Conducting comprehensive demand and market analyses to support strategic procurement decisions.
  • Supply Chain Compliance and Enhancement: Strengthening the supply chain by ensuring adherence to established Supply Chain Management processes, with a focus on integrity due diligence, human rights assessments, safety, and managing commercial risks.
  • Comprehensive Contract Management: Managing the entire lifecycle of contracts from award to close-out, aiming to minimise value leakage, mitigate risks, and uphold safety standards.
  • Effective Stakeholder Engagement: Ensuring proactive and effective management of stakeholders, both internally and externally, to facilitate seamless project execution and compliance.

     

About You:

  • Experience: Significant experience in strategic contract management, particularly within corporate services such as facilities, IT, temporary staffing, and intellectual services.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong awareness of the UK supplier market, with a focus on promoting local content.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work independently or lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Educational Background: A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred, not essential).
