Senior Corporate Accountant needed for maternity cover at a pioneering energy company. Responsibilities include overseeing monthly consolidation and annual statutory accounts for UK and Netherlands entities, improving ledger processes, contributing to the group annual report and disclosures, and acting as a primary contact for external audits.

    

Role responsibilities:

  • Overseeing monthly consolidation and legal entity management accounts, including intercompany and investment elimination.
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for the UK and Netherlands, supporting the group annual report process, and liaising with the Tax Team for tax disclosures.
  • Managing the statutory playback process to ensure SAP aligns with statutory accounts.
  • Monthly and ad-hoc shareholder reporting, including balance sheet and income statement reports.
  • Overseeing corporate accounting for Dutch, Danish, and Norwegian entities per local regulations.
  • Liaising with external auditors and coordinate the statutory audit process.
  • Collaborating with the Tax Team to calculate, validate, post, and reconcile monthly tax entries.
  • Responsibility for IFRS16 accounting.
  • Ensuring system alignment through ERP+BPC reconciliation.
  • Providing monthly analysis and integrity review of hedging with the Corporate Finance Team.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the completion of half-year and year-end judgement papers.
  • Participating in annual impairment and decommissioning reviews.

      

Technical Skills and Competencies required:

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced skills in group consolidation and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Strong Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Fully qualified Accountant.

      

Non-Technical Competencies required:
