Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Analysing connectors and associated equipment by hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Riser / connector and conductor analysis using FEA and fatigue life assessments.
• Completing results and reports following analysis in a timely manner.
• Actively progressing and managing assigned tasks from concept to completion.
• Where appropriate, report progress to clients along with documentation of work.
• Preparing quotations for clients.
• Creating engineering drawings and part numbers.
• Monitoring time and costs throughout the duration of each assigned task.
• Checking and approval of drawings, documents, reports and calculations to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Actively taking part in design reviews.
• Providing guidance, direction and supervision to engineering staff.

Experience / Qualifications:

• An engineering degree qualification is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar product support and design-based role, directly within the oil and gas industry, is essential.
• Any experience with large diameter, heavy steel connectors would be advantageous.
• FEA experience would be preferred.
