Experienced Joint Venture Accountant required for senior position within a dynamic energy company.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor funding of Joint Ventures and related performance reporting process.
  • Coordinate Joint Venture quarterly Finance committee meetings.
  • Develop and manage relationships with the Joint Venture Partners.
  • Training, educating and assisting integrating Joint Venture staff.
  • Ensuring accounting transactions comply with company policies and procedures, contractual terms, joint operating agreements and UK statutory requirements.
  • Working closely with Business Analysts, Managers and outsourcing contract representatives to ensure that all capital and operating expenses are recorded accurately and in the correct projects and expense categories.
  • Ensuring all points raised by internal audit prior to deployment of task force addressed.
  • Supporting management in strategic and day-to-day decisions made in the business.
  • Supporting commercial group to ensure the company is aligned with Joint Venture.
  • Providing monthly KPI forecasts across the Joint Venture Portfolio.
  • Performing monthly variance analysis versus budget/forecast for discussion at monthly review meetings.
  • Financial monitoring of the Non-Operated Joint Venture Assets.
  • Driving improvements to financial process and procedures at all levels.
  • Financial representation at all Joint Venture forums.
  • Training and developing local staff.
  • Team-building and mentoring.
  • Ensuring health, safety, environment and social responsibility of self and others.

Looking for:

  • Professional accountancy qualification.
  • University degree in relevant discipline.
  • Joint Venture Accounting, supervisory experience.
  • Strong systems experience.
