Be part of a company which values the workforce as its greatest asset. The Supply Chain Team Lead is pivotal in overseeing daily operations, managing team workload, and optimising supply chain processes. Emphasising efficient sourcing, team coordination, and supplier relationship management.

    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the end-to-end management of Procurement and Supply Chain processes, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, delivery, risk control, and terms for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the product line, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to timelines.
  • Allocating tasks effectively within the team, providing leadership, mentorship, and ongoing skills development to enhance team performance and capabilities.
  • Participating actively in project meetings to identify potential risks and supply chain challenges, fostering collaboration and implementing effective solutions to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  • Acting swiftly to resolve any supply chain disruptions, minimising operational impact and maintaining smooth business operations.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as operations, rentals, and Sales Teams to forecast demand accurately, plan inventory levels effectively, and ensure timely delivery of products and services while keeping all stakeholders informed with regular updates.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors, leveraging strong relationship-building skills to secure favourable terms and pricing agreements that benefit the organisation.
  • Monitoring supplier performance closely, conducting regular performance reviews and business meetings to maintain high standards of service delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Contributing actively to the development and enhancement of Supply Chain procedures, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO and API, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualified or equivalent, or actively pursuing the qualification, with robust knowledge and experience in Supply Chain practices and procedures.
  • ERP & MRP Proficiency: Proficient in business ERP & MRP systems, especially Microsoft D365, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets, reporting, and presentations.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated significant experience in leadership or supervisory roles within supply chain management.
  • Financial and Numerical Literacy: Competent in financial and numerical analysis within a business context.
  • Language Skills: Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Driving Licence: Full driving licence required.

Desirable:

  • Manufacturing Supply Chain Knowledge: Good understanding and experience of supply chain operations in a manufacturing setting, including familiarity with technical drawings, raw material requirements, and manufacturing techniques.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor: Certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor preferred.
  • Process Improvement Certification: Lean/6-Sigma/Green or Yellow Belt certification would be advantageous.
