Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to planned maintenance schemes, repair assets, inspect assets to ensure fit for purposes.
• Coordinating third parties for maintenance of compressors and pumps.
• Performing daily and weekly checks on all compressors, vacuum pumps, cryogenic pumps, topping up levels when required and maintain accurate records on work completed.
• Repairing and servicing Cyrogenic and vacuum pumps.
• Carrying out repairs to compressors as required, including PDC Compressor (450 BAR).
• Regular change of valves on Q16 and Q64 packs for service.
• Using welding equipment, grinders and burning torch, carry our repairs to packs, including repairs to manifolds, frames, removal of welds, repairs to guards.
• Conducting repairs to damaged packs or wrongly assembled packs.
• Removing and fitting valves onto cylinders and fitting of DIP Tubes when required.
• Creating and raising permits as and when required.
• Working in conjunction with the Production Team to resolve any ongoing issues with the automatic system.
• Checking alarms on automatic systems to ensure programmes are operating correctly and resolving alarms.
• Repairing manual filling systems, repairing and/or replacing valves.
• Replacing sensors on filling systems and cryogenic pumps.
• Conducting general repaits to damaged plugs on equipment (both 110V and 240V).
• Manual handling of cylinders.
• Servicing and repairs to mixing tables, including replacement of switches for levelling.
• Complete shutdown of systems for contractors or internal work, locking off when required and starting up again.

Qualifications

• Time served maintenance technician (ECITB/VQ or equivalent).
• Forklift Operator.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise assignments.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
• Experience of operating engineering equipment including welding equipment, grinders, drills and mechanical cutting equipment.
