A leading company known for its commitment to delivering high-quality pipeline solutions is seeking a Tendering and Proposals Engineer. This position is well-suited to a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers and a talent for managing bespoke budgeted quotes. You'll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Team by preparing proposals and ensuring all activities align with company standards.

    

The Tendering and Proposals Engineer will be responsible for preparing and managing bespoke budgeted quotes for engineered services, sales, and rental scopes, ensuring all activities align with commercial standards and processes. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, including Business Development, Projects, and Technical, as well as direct communication with customers and suppliers to develop comprehensive technical proposals and detailed cost budgets.

           

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote Management: Coordinating allocated leads for quote preparation, ensuring full compliance with approved commercial processes.
  • Technical Proposal Development: Drafting technical proposals for bespoke sales, rentals, and service scopes using base product templates and engineering inputs.
  • Budget Preparation: Developing detailed cost budgets, specifying sources, validity, and assumptions, in collaboration with the Technical Team to define necessary components.
  • Pricing and Cashflow: Generating sell pricing based on existing customer rates and required business margins and preparing cashflow models and milestone payment schedules for projects.
  • Risk Management: Conducting risk reviews for all proposals and tracking actions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Compliance and Communication: Maintaining regular communication with the Proposals Lead and Commercial Director, ensuring full adherence to commercial procedures and awareness of ongoing activities.
  • Support and Follow-Up: Tracking outstanding quotes and opportunities, providing post-award support on commercial queries, and assist with variation orders.

         

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in preparing bespoke budgets, ideally within the energy service industry or a similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Strong numerical and commercial skills, with proven experience in proposal and document writing.
  • Education: A degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a team, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
